So as it’s the 1st of the month, I guess it would be off key of me (as off key as Cassie’s debut performance on 106 & Park) not to buss some new tunes up on the blog.

Firstly, it’s my look-a-like, Usher. This guy gives me jokes. He got all your hopes up for the album with ‘Climax’ only to have you all shook when you heard the dancey pop sound of ‘Scream’. Well now comes ‘Let Me See’ featuring
Officer Ricky. Maybe he really is back on the R&B wave.

Next, it’s Moesha. In my humble opinion this woman is mad talented. And I know nobody’s been checking for her for a minute – but since she dropped the Monica tune and her Behind The Music episode aired, she’s been heating up. This one called ‘Put It Down’ features her rapping alter ego Bran’Nu, Chris Breezy with a rap verse (it’s decent still) and it’s been compared to her ‘Full Moon’ stuff from back in ’01.

Last but not least it’s my guy J-Sol. He’s a singing, song writing, acting, Brit School Graduate and future star. ‘Alien’ features Cashtastic and looks like it’s set to be his 1st single so watch out for him.

They’re right when they say be careful what you wish for. I’ve been saying Ashanti needs to come back for ages but not like this… Not like this!

This one’s called ‘The Woman You Love’ and features the legendary yet irrelevant Busta Rhymes, now fully repping YMCMB, still clinging onto his ‘Look At Me Now’ hype.

Hopefully the 2nd single’s saying something because I really want her to produce another ‘Baby’. Same way I want Busta to hit us with something as sick as ‘Pass The Courvoisier’.

Still, at least Ashanti’s looking good.

Drizzy drops the video for ‘Practice’.

I can’t lie, I never liked this tune before I Watched the video. It’s not got a ‘Scream’ or ‘Thriller’ budget but Sir Mix-A-lot!

DaVinche’s back with ‘Jay-Z Money,’ the lead single to his long awaited debut album Open Minded. This one features the beautiful Sofie Sof and all her attitude, as well as, a rap verse from DaVinche himself.

I’ve rated this guy for a long time, he’s contributed a lot to the UK scene as a producer so I’m looking forward to the album.

J Cole replaces Andre 3000 on the new version of ‘Party’.

And 2 videos on from ‘Countdown’, just when you thought all the plagiarism hype was over, Khia takes to Twitter to claim that B “swagger jacked” her video concept for ‘My Neck My Back’.

Check the timeline, it’s jokes.

Still, it was good to see Kelly at the end.

This one took me by surprise. The last thing you expect from someone going round in interviews stressing that they’re fully focused on movies, taking an extended break from music, is… new music.

Not complaining though, it’s a decent laid back tune. He took his time and he delivered.

There hasn’t been any talk of a new album. But, it’s been rumoured that this new ballad could be from the soundtrack to his new movie ‘In Time’, an action flick where we’ll see JT star alongside Amanda Seyfried, Cillian Murphy, Yaya DaCosta (runner up to Eva in Antm back in the day) and Olivia Wilde.

So I’ve come to the conclusion that a lot of the tunes I post on here are from Drake or Chris Brown. But really and truly, since Usher got disqualified from R&B, who’s really ready? Okay so the females are doing their thing and Loick just banged out a no.2 but deep down you know I’ve got a point.

Still, you can always count on Drizzy to leak a few tunes for the car. This, the latest one, is called ‘Headlines’ and is rumoured to be the lead single from his forthcoming sophmore album ‘Take Care’.

A video for Marvin’s Room has finally surfaced.

Whether or not it makes Drizzy’s new album Take Care is unknown but when 2 of the 3 warm-up tracks (Dreams Money Can Buy and Marvin’s Room) make the car… you know it’s gonna be good!

Add that to the fact that;
– It will feature production from The Neptunes
Trust Issues didn’t make the cut
– Plus the album’s under enormous pressure (a weak sophmore album will end your career)
and you can’t help but expect it to be sick.

Still, Drake’s already confessed to spending a lot more time on this than Thank Me Later and we’ll find out whether it was worth the extra care later this year.
