I am a fairly new Erykah Badu ‘fan’ – as in I am loving discovering her music, albeit a late discovery.
Arguably one of her best album is ‘Baduizm’. Here Ms Badu reflects on the album as part of the Reebok Classic series.

I have been feeling The Weeknd for a little while now. The first mixtape ‘House Of Balloons’ got major play on the ipod. This is the second installment entitled ‘Thursday’, in a series of 3. The tracklisting is as such:

1 Lonely Star
2 Life Of The Party
3 Thursday
4 The Zone (feat. Drake)
5 The Birds Part 1
6 The Birds Part 2
7 Gone
8 Rolling Stone
9 Heaven Or Las Vegas

Download and enjoy…cos that’s what I’m doing

So I’ve come to the conclusion that a lot of the tunes I post on here are from Drake or Chris Brown. But really and truly, since Usher got disqualified from R&B, who’s really ready? Okay so the females are doing their thing and Loick just banged out a no.2 but deep down you know I’ve got a point.

Still, you can always count on Drizzy to leak a few tunes for the car. This, the latest one, is called ‘Headlines’ and is rumoured to be the lead single from his forthcoming sophmore album ‘Take Care’.

A video for Marvin’s Room has finally surfaced.

Whether or not it makes Drizzy’s new album Take Care is unknown but when 2 of the 3 warm-up tracks (Dreams Money Can Buy and Marvin’s Room) make the car… you know it’s gonna be good!

Add that to the fact that;
– It will feature production from The Neptunes
Trust Issues didn’t make the cut
– Plus the album’s under enormous pressure (a weak sophmore album will end your career)
and you can’t help but expect it to be sick.

Still, Drake’s already confessed to spending a lot more time on this than Thank Me Later and we’ll find out whether it was worth the extra care later this year.

Its not exactly new but its worthy of blogging anyway, here’s the visuals for J Cole and Drakes ladies favourite banger ‘In The Morning’. It dropped on Valentines Day (well, the day after..) and was shot whilst on tour in Paris, featuring a cameo from Norwegian model & singer, Alexandra Joner.

Some expected more, but as far as I’m concerned J Cole could have shot it in his bathroom and I would have been happy!

Yes people.  This is one of them BANGERS that deserve a video! This tune has been around for over a year now, first heard it on Jam’s show, everyone had Drake on their tunes and I initially was so sick of him I thought he ruined it. But the tune itself, timeless – bit of Drizzy aint gonna do no harm! I LOVE the piano beat, hearing that makes me wanna learn to play even more. The video is beautifully shot and I love a tune that tells a story.

Anyway, enough gushing. Love it, appreciate it, vibes. Its big.
