I’ve always been a massive fan of this lady so was extremely happy when I heard her announce she’d be dropping an album in the fall called ‘Passion Like Fire’ also quoted in this Salaam Remi produced / Co written gem.

Salaam is a production giant developing hits for the Fugees, Amy Winehouse, Nas and Miguel and he’s locked in his familiar hip hop soul stamp on this beauty of a record.

This will be the former Quincy Jones’ protégé’s 7th studio album coming via (e)one (entertainment one) and I’m hoping the rest of the album has input from Salaam because Tamia sits beautifully in this lane.

Enjoy this piece of audio niceness

Lauryn Hill is set to embark on a massive tour to celebrate the 20th anniversary of her debut and only solo studio album ‘The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill’.

According to The Fader, she’ll perform the classic LP in full and the 29 date North American tour will commence July 5th 2018 in Virginia Beach.

There’s nothing to suggest she’ll be bringing the tour this side of the pond but hopefully if she does it will truly reflect the albums original versions and not the reggae-rockified versions she delivered last time round.

Multi talented, Grammy award winning producer and musician Robert Glasper has just announced a new album entitled, ‘Everything’s Beautiful‘ an 11 track project of reworks and reinterpretations of classics from Miles Davis.

The album features collaborations with Illa J, Erykah Badu, Laura Mvula, Stevie Wonder, Ledisi, Phonte, King and more and is set for release on 27th May. ‘Everything’s Beautiful‘ is the second Miles Davis project Glasper has undertaken, he also produced the soundtrack to the forthcoming biopic ‘Miles Ahead‘ which stars Don Cheadle set to drop on April 1st.

It’s pretty tough to get mash-ups right, it’s even tougher when you take on tracks that are regarded as soulful royalty from the likes of Sade! However 18 year old UK producer Seanh has achieved the seemingly impossible – blending soul Queen Sade and rapper MF Doom to create, ‘Sadevillain‘ and trust me it works!

It’s been a while since we’ve heard any new material from Sade or MF Doom so it feels good to hear something fresh with their voices and if the production on this EP are anything to go by, Seanh is a homegrown talent to keep a close eye on! Keep up to date with what he’s up to via Twitter: @TheSeanh2k11 and download Sadevillain here.
