Wassup my R&B fam!
Here’s a unique music video taken from a new album entitled ‘ I’m gonna be somebody’ by UK soulster, Michael Lloyd Pinq.
The soulful track and beautiful cinematography of this video, materialise the singer’s determination to triumph over adversity as a black kid growing up without a father in London. If you’re into the likes of Anthony Hamilton, there’s no doubt you’ll be feeling this.
It’s a video’s which has a narrative and positive social message so peep it, enjoy and please leave a comment!

He’s the mastermind behind Tinie Tempah’s tracks “Pass Out” & “Frisky” which he produced as well sang on but in this EXCLUSIVE A64, we see Labz sing a Bob Dylan song that he thinks says alot about the industry today.
Enjoy!

‘THE TIMES THEY ARE A CHANGIN’

Kevin Carson (Bow Wow) a young man living in the projects, is just an ordinary guy…until he wins $370 million in the Mondo Millions Lottery.

That’s the good news.

The bad news is, the lottery claim office is closed for the long Fourth of July weekend, so, before he can collect his prize, Kevin is going to have to figure out how to keep a lid on his good fortune and survive the next three days.

As news of his windfall spreads through the community like a grass fire, Kevin quickly discovers the good, the bad and the ugly in his closest friends and neighbors. Girls who could never be bothered before start chasing him down. Everyone wants a piece of him—including the reverend, the local loan shark and one very threatening recent parolee won’t take no for an answer. On edge and on the run, he even begins to question the intentions of his best friend, Benny (Brandon T. Jackson).

He also starts to realize the power he holds in his hands and what this lottery ticket could really mean to him, his future, and the community.

It’s funny what people will do when money is involved.

I know she dropped a little “bitch” in Ego but my baby took me by suprise when I heard her sing “My Niggaz is home” in Kanye’s new track See Me Now, also featuring Charlie Wilson.

Working in radio I’m used to cleaning Hip Hop tracks, but it angers me when you get R&B stars like Usher swearing all over tracks like Lil Freak and Hot Tottie. I can’t complain though, this track is deep. Especially as Beyonce only recorded her vocals less than 24 hours ago.

Looking forward to Kanye’s new album out later this year.

COULD DIDDY BE THE NEXT COWELL?

THE MTV VMA NOMINEES ANNOUNCED:
SWIFT & BEYONCE GOING HEAD TO HEAD COULD PROMPT ANOTHER KANYE OUTBURST…surely not!

CHRIS ‘BREEZY’ Does NICKI MINAJ

Since Usher buckled, dropped the baton and licked his head on the barriers with Here I Stand, I’ve been looking to Chris Brown to represent. Then last year, some stuff went down, the stores wouldn’t stock his album, he closed his Twitter account and it looked like it was over for Breezy.

But this year, I’ve noticed he’s put the work in.  Since Graffiti, he’s dropped the In My Zone mixtape, teamed up with Tyga from Young Money to drop the Fan Of A Fan mixtape (with tunes like ‘Deuces’, ‘G Shit’ & ‘Holla @ Me’) and between all of that he’s been remixing other people’s tunes.

Ok, yes the MJ tribute at the BET Awards did vex me – (no need for them tears). But his work-rate is something like Weezy’s and that’s impressive!

This guy’s the next to blow! Like Drizzy and Breezy, he sings and raps but he also produces and writes on top of that.

His name’s Bei Maejor and he dropped his mixtape Upside Down (featuring collabs with Drake, T-Pain, Keri Hilson & Trey Songz) this week. Click here

If you like Trey Songz, you’ll like Bei Maejor… because he’s better.

The only problem with the free download is that most of the tunes are down-tempo, it needs some bangers (like a ‘I Can Transform Ya’ or a ‘U Dont Have To Call’) but hey, I guess that’s something we can expect from his forthcoming album out later this year.

I’d been told about the singing skillz of the lovely Preeya Kalidas long before she lit up our screens as Amira, scorned girlfriend / wife of then closet homosexual Syed (played by Marc Elliot) on the popular soap Eastenders.
It therefore came as no surprise to me when i was told she was departing the square to pursue a music career, and pursuing it the lady is.
Clock in to find out what happened when i met up with Preeya as we spoke about music & life after Eastenders…And will she ever return to the Square?
Enjoy!
