Formerly a writer for the likes of Chris Brown and Britney Spears, Luke is now signed to Def Jam (via Danja’s imprint) and is about to launch as a performer and singer. The track in the background of the video above sounds really good so it is going to interesting to see what’s to come

01 Aug New Drizzy!
So I’ve come to the conclusion that a lot of the tunes I post on here are from Drake or Chris Brown. But really and truly, since Usher got disqualified from R&B, who’s really ready? Okay so the females are doing their thing and Loick just banged out a no.2 but deep down you know I’ve got a point.
Still, you can always count on Drizzy to leak a few tunes for the car. This, the latest one, is called ‘Headlines’ and is rumoured to be the lead single from his forthcoming sophmore album ‘Take Care’.

This fresh Chris Brown track called ‘I Love Her’ has appeared online in full, after a snippet was leaked last week. It’s unclear as to whether this will appear on his forthcoming album Fortune as Chris tweeted recently “If the whole song doesn’t leak then it’s going on fortune! I have so many songs that I’ve recorded in my opinion that are siiiccccckkkk! I just really hope people appreciate the diversity on Fortune!”

01 Aug Bridget Kelly – “Thinking About Forever”
Roc Nation singer Bridget Kelly who sang Alicia’s chorus and hook on tour with Jay Z on “Empire State of Mind” is back with this track called “Thinking About You”. A version popped up online sung by Odd Future’s Frank Ocean, who wrote the track and here is the official final version by Bridget which was premiered by Jay.

03 Jul New Drake!
A video for Marvin’s Room has finally surfaced.
Whether or not it makes Drizzy’s new album Take Care is unknown but when 2 of the 3 warm-up tracks (Dreams Money Can Buy and Marvin’s Room) make the car… you know it’s gonna be good!
Add that to the fact that;
– It will feature production from The Neptunes
– Trust Issues didn’t make the cut
– Plus the album’s under enormous pressure (a weak sophmore album will end your career)
and you can’t help but expect it to be sick.
Still, Drake’s already confessed to spending a lot more time on this than Thank Me Later and we’ll find out whether it was worth the extra care later this year.

This week it’s been all about Beyonce and no wonder after that incredible Glastonbury performance on Sunday night. I was honoured to be invited down to her secret gig to celebrate the launch of new album ‘4’, after being blown away by her spectacular televised Glasto set the night before. It really cemented her place as one of the biggest music icons on the planet, and seeing her do Destiny’s Child songs in the mix was really emotional when you think that when they came out over 10 years ago, who would have imagined that one day we’d be hearing them at one of the world’s most notorious rock festivals?
This all coincided with the release of her brand new chart topping album, which I got to hear in full the week before at her exclusive playback at the swanky Swarovski Lounge in the heart of London’s West End. The album, which she describes as her best work to date, signifies a more mature sound for the diva, featuring lots of ballads and only one collaboration, with Andre 3000 on stand out track ‘Party’. Other highlights for me are ‘1+1’ and ‘End of Time’, both of which she performed at this once-in-a-lifetime gig.
An artist normally used to playing Arena-sized venues, it was a truly rare thing to see Beyonce perform up close to such a small crowd at the modestly sized Shepherd’s Bush Empire in West London. The VIP balcony area upstairs boasted a bar serving Beyonce-inspired cocktails and played host to stars such as Adele, Tinie Tempah, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessie J, husband Jay-Z and even mum Tina. The concert was a dazzling mix of high-energy dance routines and vocal workouts, pulled off by Bey with effortless ease. Hits both old and new were included, as well as renditions of ‘Sex on Fire’ and personal highlight ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’. Mirroring her closing song at Glasto, Beyonce finished the show by actually stepping down into the crowd for last track ‘Halo’, handing the mic to audience members to sing lines from the ballad. And then, as quickly as she’d appeared, she was gone. The crowd slowly filtered out in awe, having just witnessed a night of epic proportions from a truly timeless artist that we’re unlikely to see perform at such close proximity anytime soon.
